ICANN
Publishes Final Draft Report Of The Whois Policy
ICANN
has published a final draft report of the "Whois Policy
Review Team". Their mission was to review the extent
to which ICANN’s Whois policy and its implementation
were effectively meeting the legitimate needs of law
enforcement, and promoting consumer trust.
The Final
Draft Report is opened for public comment until March 18,
2012.
“Comprehensive
and straightforward, the report lays out systematically
what the team found lacking with the Whois policy and
what they think should be done about it.”
