I just did a Whois lookup on my domain name and I see that all of my information is shown. Can I do something so that my personal information is kept private?

A domain name must either show a contact person or a company as an owner of a domain name AND have a valid email address and, if possible, a telephone number. When your domain comes up for renewal you have to make sure that we can contact you via email and let you know that your domain name is up for renewal otherwise it is going to expire if you don't pay by the expiration date and you will lose it. If you do not want any of your personal information shown, you can type “null” in each field except for the state and country. If you, also, do not want to show your email address you can always set-up a free email account with an outside email provider such as www.email.com or any such service and use that email for all of your “junk” emails. Make sure that you do have your valid email listed so that you can be contacted or else you could lose your domain name when renewal time arrives. *IMPORTANT: We contact you by email for domain name renewals and do not send renewal notices via snail mail (regular mail).
